COMBI BOX

The presto Combi Box is an easy to use repair assortment for multiple application in the car sector, automobile industry, household, model making, mold construction.

The box contains:

– polyester resin
– filling powder
– hardener
– glass fibre material
– mixing cup

Applicable

as laminating resin (resin + 2 – 4 % hardener) to close and to bridge holes, perforations and leaks in (slightly rusty) metal and plastic surfaces,
as cast resin (1 part resin + 1 part filling powder + 2 – 4 % hardener) to fill and level out difficult to access spots and cavities on molds, models, car body parts, machine parts etc.,
as putty (1 part resin + 2 parts filling powder + 2 – 4 % hardener) to fill and level out dents and bumps on car body, wood, concrete, GRP (glass-fibre reinforced plastic) or other metal surfaces.

ENVIRONMENT AND LABELLING

Environmentally compatible: MOTIP DUPLI is committed to apply formulations without restricted or critical ingredients and to achieve best possible performance. The caps and packagings are made of recyclable material.

Disposal: Please mind the residue inside the containers. Completely emptied containers can be used for recycling. If cans are not emptied, they should be disposed off as “special refuse”.

Labelling: All products of MOTIP DUPLI comply with the current status of their labelling regulations. Classification and distinction takes place by the presently legal form of the Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals (GHS) or rather by CLP 1272/2008/EG regulations. Our safety data sheets comply with the current form of REACH 1907/2006/EG, article 31 und appendix II,

USING INSTRUCTIONS

Before use, carefully read and observe the warning texts on the label!

Application

as laminating resin

The repair spot should be derusted, clean, dry, fat-free and slightly sanded.
Cut fibre glass material to size, so that it overlaps the repair spot a few centimetres.
Mix the requested quantity of resin with the hardener (2 – 4 %) in the mixing cup.
Use a brush to apply the mixed compound to the repair spot.
Place the pieces of fibre glass material and soak it with the resin (by dabbing).
Possibly repeat this procedure several times, till you achieve a stable overlay.

as cast resin

The repair spot should be derusted, clean, dry, fat-free and slightly sanded.
Mix resin and powder, ratio 1 : 2, then add 2 – 4 % hardener and stir well.
The mixed material becomes a self-creeping compound; just pour this compound into resp. onto the repar spot.

as putty

Mix 1 part resin with 2 parts of filling powder.
Add 2 – 4 % Härter, stir well and apply it with a spatula in the desired coat thickness..

Applicable for all uses:

Working time: 4 – 5 minutes
Curing time: 20 – 30 minutes
Clean tools immediately after use, possibly wash off with nitro thinner.
Do not fill back the mixed material into the can.
The cured material can be processed mechanically and coated with all conventional paint systems.

TIPS FOR SPRAY PAINTING

Protect the object and the surrounding area from spray mist. When painting small areas it is recommended that a piece of card is used as a mask, with a hole cut in it slightly larger than the area to be sprayed. The mask should be held 1 to 2 cm from the surface. With this method, the mainly part of the spray mist is brought under control. It recommends to mask parts not to be lacquered, to protect the surrounding against the spray mist.

The aerosol can should have room temperature.

Temperature should range between +10°C and +25°C, max. air humidity 60 %.

Store in a dry place. Protect from direct sunlight and other sources of heat. Use only during dry weather, in places protected from the wind, and in well-ventilated rooms. Follow the warning texts on the labels!
